Lil’ Lights Preschool strives to create a Christ-centered environment where our students can explore God’s world and grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially. All applicants for employment are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Be a born-again Christian actively involved in a local, Bible-believing church
  • Agree with the preschool’s Employee Code of Christian Conduct
  • Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Pass required background screenings

Teachers’s Aid
At Lil’ Lights Preschool, teacher aids are responsible for helping with the early education of children in their care. Candidates must enjoy working with preschool aged children, be able to communicate effectively with parents, faculty and staff, and be able to adhere to state, federal, and school guidelines. Tasks include, but are not limited to, developing and assisting interactive learning programs, establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in classrooms, provide age-appropriate care for the children in their classrooms, provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities, adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children, develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents, and help manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals. In addition to being a Christian involved in a local Bible-believing church, a candidate for the position must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to work well with a team, be creative, and have a ministry mindset. Previous experience in a preschool classroom are preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred. Applicants must satisfactorily complete required background check process, all employment documents, and are preferred to have the required 40 hours of training with DCF. If selected for hire, employees will have 90 days to begin training and 1 year to complete training requirements.
