About Us

Lil’ Lights Preschool is the preschool department of Light Christian Academy. We serve students in grades K2, K3, K4, and VPK, and we strive to provide a safe, Christ-centered environment where students can explore God’s world!

Light Christian Academy began in 2009 as a ministry of Ocoee Church of God. From an initial enrollment of fewer than 20 students, the school has grown to minister to over 100 students on our campus each day. The academy, which utilizes ACE curriculum for grades 4-12, has been recognized as a Model Status school by Accelerated Christian Education each year since 2011. In 2013, Light Christian Academy received its accreditation for its K3-12th grade programs from Church of God Association of Christian Schools. The school’s accreditation was renewed in 2018 and again in 2023.

In 2014, Light Christian Academy offered its first VPK program. Four years later, at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, the preschool program took the name Lil’ Lights Preschool and expanded to include K3, K4, and morning care and aftercare services for enrolled preschoolers. In the fall of 2023, Lil’ Lights will expand again to offer K2 services. As part of Light Christian Academy, Lil’ Lights looks beyond preschool to prepare students for continued academic success. Students enrolled in VPK or K4 programs at Lil’ Lights Preschool have the opportunity to enroll in Light Christian Academy for kindergarten and beyond. For more information about Light Christian Academy and our K-12th grade programs, visit the academy’s website at www.mylcac.com.

Lil’ Lights Preschool and its parent organization, Light Christian Academy, continue to operate as a ministry of Ocoee Church of God. As a school, we are committed to helping your student grow academically, socially, and physically; but as a Christian school, we also want to see your student grow spiritually. It is our prayer that each student at Lil’ Lights Preschool will be able to shine as a light of God’s love in his or her home, in our community, and in our world.

“Light Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs.”
