K2 (beginning Fall 2023)
Beginning in the Fall of 2023, Lil’ Lights Preschool will offer full-day and half-day program for 2-year-olds.

K3
Lil’ Lights Preschool offers full-day and half-day programs for 3-year-olds that include instructional time and child care service.
Instructional time for our K3 students includes introduction to age-appropriate academic concepts, including letter recognition and sounds, number recognition, and developmental skills. Class time includes structured instruction, hands-on activities, and free-play time in learning centers to help students develop academic, social, and physical skills. Bible lessons are integrated into daily activities and lessons.
In order to be eligible for enrollment in K3, students must be 3 years old by September 1 of the school year for which they are enrolling. The full-day program includes morning care beginning at 7am, morning and afternoon instructional time, and aftercare until 6pm. The half-day program only includes morning instructional time.
K4
Lil’ Lights Preschool offers full-day and half-day programs for 4-year-olds. Both programs include instructional time; the full-day program also includes child care services.
Instructional time in K4 prepares students for the transition to Kindergarten by building a reading-readiness foundation. Students learn letter recognition and sounds, along with other age-appropriate skills, through hands-on activities, direct instruction, and free play. Learning objectives are reinforced through multiple activities throughout the day, providing opportunities for students to master concepts no matter their learning style. Bible lessons are integrated into daily activities and lessons.

VPK
Lil’ Lights Preschool offers a half-day VPK program or a full-day VPK program with wrap-around.
The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program is a free educational, high quality learning opportunity available to all
4-year-old children in the State of Florida. The VPK program is designed to prepare 4-year-olds to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. The VPK program only has two eligibility requirements:
- Child must live in Florida
- Child must be 4-years-old on or before September 1 of the current year
VPK students learn the skills necessary to succeed in Kindergarten through hands-on activities, direct instruction, and free play. As with our K4 program, learning objectives are reinforced through multiple activities throughout the day, providing opportunities for students to master new concepts.
Light Christian Academy’s VPK program is a school-year program. Students can attend Monday-Friday mornings from 8:30am until 11:45am at no charge through VPK funding (please note VPK funding covers tuition for a limited number of hours; there may be additional charges for field trips, necessary supplies, VPK graduation, and child care services on non-VPK days). A full-day program, which includes morning care, an afternoon academic session, and aftercare, is available for a nominal wrap-around fee.
